The beauty industry is raving about the new skin tightening technology which has launched very recently into the UK. There is a whole new generation of Plasma pens sweeping across the country and its very exciting.
My chosen brand for this treatment is Plasma Elite, as there are some great elements about this plasma pen including a lovely extremely fine tipped probe which leaves the client with less down time compared to other brands with larger probes.
How does Plasma Elite Work?
Plasma Elite works by producing a small flash of 'plasmatic lightening' that reaches the skin and creates an immediate contraction and evaporation of the surrounding skin. Leaving the skin tightened and the area lifted.
What areas can be treated?
Hooded eyelids (this would be an alternative to having surgical blepharoplasty)
Upper and lower eyelids
Crowsfeet
Upper and lower lip area
Jawline
Crepey skin on the neck area
Post treatment healing
Immediately after the treatment you are left with tiny red dots which scab over the next few days. There can be swelling in the treated area and you have to leave the area clean and dry. The small scabs fall away between 5 - 10 days depending on how quick you heal,
Once the scabs fall away the skin will look slightly pink for the next few weeks, This can be covered with make up. Full healing takes approximately 6-8weeks.
Underneath the skin surface it is very busy! The Collagen and elastin has been stimulated and this slowly rejuvenates the treated area.
8 Weeks post treatment
A top up is carried out to tweak the results 8 weeks post treatment. This is to ensure you get the best possible results.
This is the next best thing to surgery, especially for the eye area although its not a treatment to be considered lightly. There is down time after the treatment and after care instructions to follow however once you've had it done - its done! No courses of treatments or maintenance apart from good skin care products at home.
